Mountain Climbers Club of Engineers will be holding its 2nd Tree Planting & Cleaning at Mt. Manabu in Brgy. Sta. Cruz (Sulok), Sto. Tomas, Batangas on February 25-26, 2009. The team will be participated by the 3rd year engineering students of the Technological University of the Philippines at Cavite.
This activity is designed to supplement understanding of their subject, Environmental Engineering, which is concerned primarily in the protection and preservation of the nature reserves and resources. The objective of this trip is to visit the site where they planted the trees during their
First Tree Planting activity last year. Also, on their way to the summit, additional seedlings will be planted. During their descent, on the next day, the participants are expected to do campsite and trail cleaning.
